The SFP Gigabit Interface Converter Cisco is a team of interchangeable input and output that plugs into a port or Gigabit Ethernet space.

Gigabit interface converter Cisco SFP can be used and exchanged in a variety of Cisco products and can be intermixed in combinations of 1000BASE-T (SFP-GE-T), 1000BASE-SX (SFP-GE-S), 1000BASE -LX/LH (SFP-GE-L) or 1000BASE-ZX (SFP-GE-Z) per port basis.

Gigabit interface converters Cisco SFPs are:

1000BASE-T SFP (SFP-GE-T) for copper networks.
1000BASE-SX SFP (SFP-GE-S) only for multimode fiber.
1000BASE-LX/LH SFP (SFP-GE-L) for single mode and multimode fiber.
1000BASE-ZX SFP (SFP-GE-Z) for single mode fiber long range.
